Photos: Mission Viejo Charity Nets Over $95,000

Vocational Vision raised over $95,000 with its "Enchanted Evening" celebration last Saturday. See photos of the event.

Results are in from ' big annual fundraiser. The Saturday event that drew 350 guests netted over $95,000 for the charity that matches jobs with the developmentally disadvantaged, according to spokeswoman Barbara Kimler.

The ballroom was filled with tiki huts, surf boards and several hand-painted, island-themed pieces of art. Joe Rathburn’s Island Band provided live music.

Over 150 items were included in the live auction, which included at-home five course gourmet dinners for eight by Alex Neptune with wine pairings from sommelier Peter Neptune. That prize fetched $2,600 for charity.

A two-night stay at the Willard Hotel’s JFK “Oval” suite with tour of the U.S. Supreme Court raised $3,500 and a Lakers suite at Staples Center brought in $2,600, Kimler said.

An opportunity drawing featuring a two-night getaway to the Montage Resort & Spa was won by Darci Carlson, said the spokeswoman.
