Actually Dan, immediately after saying "The details of the situation are unclear", theRead Morerev erend says: "WHAT IS CLEAR is that during a field trip to Riley’s Farm, a Civil War era based learning center, a noose was placed around the neck of the only African American student in the class." Which, is exactly the part of the allegation that is unclear, and disputed by the people that were present.

Seriously, Bert? Everything? You folks are really disgusting defending this sort of behavior asRead More&q uot;cute." And you're willfully not looking at the larger picture the Reverend was addressing. In the words of the Reverend Jonathan Swift you're "a waste of human flesh."

The family court system is a cesspool of fraud, corruption, collusion, entitlement, and more. TheRead MoreCo nstitution is as irreverent in family court as Hitler made it in Germany by getting the German Legislature to pass laws overriding the German Constitution, or just plain ignoring the rights of the people stated in the Constitution. Just as is often done in the U.S. Judges wantonly and routinely ignore the laws as written by the CA Legislature. They ignore facts and evidence, they ignore the rules of evidence, they ignore the Constitutional Rights of parents to be parents, they ignore settled case law, they ignore Supreme Court precedent case law. They ignore just about everything decent, moral and ethical. They clearly ignore the "best interest of the child," a term borne out of Hitler's Liebensborn program. An obscenity in itself! Given the fact that every family court in every county in the U.S. is subsidized by the U.S. Government via the Title IV-D & E Social Security Program with dollar for dollar matches; funded by VAWA to separate fathers from their children, homes, funds, et. al.. via fraudulent restraining orders (more than one million restraining orders out of approx. three million restraining orders are filed in child custody cases, most often for women to "gain an advantage" over their ex. It is referred to as "the nuclear assault weapon," or the "first weapon of assault." Parents (both parents) are also set up to get caught up in a nefarious pay to play scheme, along with bribery and collusion by judges, attorneys, psychologists, minor's counsels, and more. You can not win in a system that kidnaps and traffics in kids for money, and rewards those "criminals" that do those deeds. This is a public outrage and a moral disgrace! Family court is an obscenity, a racket, a cartel that should be shut down immediately and the "criminals" of the court arrested, tried and convicted for their crimes, including treason. People need to wake up and open up their eyes to what exists in "their neighborhood." If we were talking about a dwelling that housed pedophiles, or that housed crack dealers, there would be public outrage about that. Why isn't there public outrage about the dwelling called the family court, which commits egregious criminal acts no less so than pedophiles and crack dealers? Everyone need to see the recent documentary "Divorce Corp." to see what really goes on inside the family court system. You can watch some clips on You Tube, and/or buy the dvd. I've seen the film and it is an eye opener! It connects the dots of what is going on everyday in the anti-family court system. An obscenity that abuses children, parents and families. We need to stop that now!

Dan Avery April 29, 2014 at 01:06 PM
One can always ask why, Greg. Like why did you plagiarize a short piece on Ben Franklin, of allRead Morepeo ple. And then why did you defend it with the completely ignorant, "I have to use quotes on the Patch? It's not a term paper." That defense shows a craven attitude toward intellectual property. Of course, your explanation about your five degrees shows the same. Did you really get two different A.A. degrees? Seriously? You took all the foundation courses for a four year degree twice? For a grade? You paid to do that?" Then, if you are being truthful you took freshman composition twice and you still don't understand plagiarism? Either you are seriously dense or a liar. Either one doesn't bode well for us if you're elected to one of the highest offices in the land.
Dan Avery April 29, 2014 at 01:09 PM
By the way, who did you steal the graphic from? You do realize that unless you create it, youRead Morecan't legally use it, right? We do expect a higher form of honesty and truth from those who seek the more important offices in our country. And this is a serious question. Prove that you commissioned the graphic that you used or you stole it.

Manhattan and Hermosa Beach are known to have higher crime rates. Restrooms in parks is not a newRead Moreid ea to Mission Viejo! We have lots of them, so what are you saying? Tear them all down?
Frustrated Resident April 21, 2014 at 01:07 AM
JT - What is your thought process here? They have a higher crime rate so it is okay to know thisRead Morecan be an issue but the city needs to ignore the issues that you claim aren't happening? Now your come back is to tear down restrooms?
julia tully April 21, 2014 at 10:18 AM
You address this issue as if it is a new one. Mission Viejo already HAS PARK RESTROOMS. Adding Read Morea few more is a non issue. With your line of thinking, park restrooms cause crime and should not exist at all. I have requested police reports of immoral acts in our city restrooms and have not received one nor did Dave provide any accounts of such when he read his list of mostly plumbing problems and a few graffiti reports. Again, we have park restrooms so we are not asking for something new. If there are crimes in the restrooms, the problem is crime, not restrooms.

@ Josephina, you are entitled to your opinion and I respect that. As long as Councilmembers URY,Read MoreREA RDON & LECKNESS oppose the restroom @ our parks there will be none added. Hey Pete. Doesn't comparing 'likes' to tips confuse the issue? Money has a tangible value to both Read Moretipper and tippee. Both parties realize it is the dominant medium of exchange for other things of value (food, fancy watches etc.) 'Likes' cost the tipper nothing and are of indeterminate benefit to the tippee.
Peter Schelden September 23, 2013 at 01:05 PM
Well, I don't think it's a perfect comparison. It doesn't work on all levels. But in the way IRead Morestate d (they draw attention to the fact that the tip jar/recommend button exists), I think it's apt.
