Girls Just Wanna Have Fun

This week, The Pet Rescue Center is pleased to be featuring our two smallest and spunkiest pets, Audrey and Skittle, saved from euthanasia at the county shelter in Orange. Both Audrey and Skittle are girls who like to ‘talk’.

Audrey is a female Calico, with gorgeous markings and a beautiful face. She has a big personality even though she weighs only 7 lbs. Audrey is very loving and still likes to play and acts like a kitten, even though she’s 2 years old. Audrey is already spayed, micro-chipped, up-to-date with her shots, and is good with kids, dogs, and other cats.

Skittle is also 2 years old. She's a female chestnut colored Chihuahua, weighing in at just about 5 lbs!  She is spayed, micro-chipped,  and up-to-date with her shots.  Skittle is also good with kids, cats, and other dogs. She loves “small dog play group” at The Pet Rescue Center. Skittle is a larger-than-life character and is frequently seen being carried around the center by one of our kennel attendants. Skittle is fond of staring at herself in the mirror – even she knows how pretty she is!

All interested parties must fill out an Adoption Application, which will be reviewed to find the best possible match for the pet and for the interested family. Completed applications can be submitted online, faxed to (949) 743-5878, or emailed to: adopt@thepetrescuecenter.org

Pets are visited by appointment only, but times are flexible. Please email Casey Oliver, Director of Operations, at The Pet Rescue Center, at adopt@thepetrescuecenter.org to arrange a meeting time. This process allows potential adopters to spend adequate time with their prospective pet and prevents long wait times. Our adoption fee is $300 for dogs and $150 for cats, and includes spay/neuter, microchip, flea treatment, deworming, regular veterinary check-ups, and current vaccinations. This fee helps to defray the costs of medical care, supplies and boarding while the animals are in our care.

The Pet Rescue Center, located inside Alicia Pet Care Center in Mission Viejo, has successfully saved and adopted out more than 600 dogs and cats in the past five years. To view our other adoptable cats and dogs, to volunteer, or to make a donation, please visit us online at www.thepetrescuecenter.org.  You can also "like" and follow us on Facebook.
