Ms. Moo and Ivy

This week, The Pet Rescue Center is proud to present Ivy, a Brown Tabby, and Ms. Moo, a black and white Pit Bull mix.  Both pets would love to lie in your lap and give you lots of love and affection.  Read their stories below – do you have room in your heart and home for cat or dog looking for a new family?

Ivy's Story...
Hello! My name is Ivy. I am a 4-5 yr old, spayed, micro-chipped and declawed kitty. I was brought to the OC Shelter as a stray on March 9th with a collar and a name, but no owner info. I waited patiently for a month for my family to come rescue me and take me home, but no one came. I was so happy that The Pet Rescue Center staff came and decided to make me a PRC pet and give me another chance with a new family. I was saved from euthanasia on April 4th. I am an easy-going girl. I like to lie in laps and sunbathe near windows. I absolutely cannot go outside due to my declawed paws. I am happy indoors or just being near you. I would love to be your only friend. I have a lot of life and love to give and hope to find the perfect new home to call my own. Please meet me today.

Ivy is up to date with shots, declawed, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats. She’s a Brown Tabby domestic short-haired cat.

Ms. Moo's Story...
Hi! My name is Moo and I am a Paw-some dog! I came to The Pet Rescue Center from the Downey Shelter in Los Angeles. I am the sweetest dog you will ever meet. Forty pounds of happy, wiggle butt, cuddle bug, lap dog is what I am. I love car rides and walk great on leash, although I've yet to come across a shady spot of grass that I don't want to lay down and roll around on. When you come meet me you will see that I love everyone, especially kids and other dogs. I am spayed, micro-chipped, healthy and up to date on my shots. When you're ready for a new best friend, come down and meet me. But hurry, because I won't be here long.

Ms. Moo is already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.  She’s a Pit Bull Terrier Mix, approximately 1 year old.

All interested parties must fill out an Adoption Application, which will be reviewed to find the best possible match for the pet and for the interested family. Pets are visited by appointment only, but times are flexible. Please email Casey Oliver, Director of Operations, at The Pet Rescue Center, at adopt@thepetrescuecenter.org to arrange a meeting time. The adoption fee is $300 for dogs and $150 for cats, and includes spay/neuter, microchip, flea treatment, deworming, regular veterinary check-ups, and current vaccinations. This fee helps to defray the costs of medical care, supplies, and boarding while the animals are in their care.

The Pet Rescue Center, located inside Alicia Pet Care Center in Mission Viejo, is a 501c3 non-profit organization that rescues, rehabilitates, and re-homes pets saved from euthanasia at high-kill shelters and other at-risk situations. These pets are provided with a veterinarian-supervised, temporary sanctuary, while they work to find an adopting family for them. They have successfully saved and adopted out more than 600 dogs and cats in the past five years. To view their adoptable cats and dogs, to volunteer, or to make a donation, please visit them online at www.thepetrescuecenter.org or call 877.277.7938.
