The Chamber’s recently completed 2013 Convention in Oakland was star-studded, welcoming leaders in business, government and entertainment, including entertainer and businesswoman Daisy Fuentes, astronaut Jose Hernandez and musician Sheila E. The convention also included the release of a new study on the $100 billion impact of Latino-owned businesses for California’s economy.

“We are excited to bring our 2014 Convention to Orange County – our 35th Convention since our founding,” said Ernie Gutierrez, Chairman of the California Hispanic Chambers of Commerce. “With Orange County’s Latino business community growing quickly, it’s a great time to showcase Latino businesses for the entire state.”

Sandy Cajas, Southern Region Chair for the CHCC and President of the Regional Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, will serve as chair of the convention.

“Our goal is to provide attendees with key business information and networking for their businesses,” said Sandy Cajas, Chair of the 2014 Convention and President and CEO of the Regional Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. “The 2014 Annual Convention will allow for Southern California Hispanic Chambers from Santa Barbara to San Diego to welcome Hispanic Chambers across the state and work together as one strong business community.”

The event will include sessions focused on small business, Latina-owned businesses and the importance of corporate partnerships. A special business exposition will be open to the public to showcase Latino businesses from throughout the state.

Reuben Franco, CEO of the Orange County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, said the Chamber is delighted that Orange County has been chosen to host this major business event.

“We look forward to having the CHCC Convention in beautiful Orange County in 2014,” he said. “The convention is a great opportunity to meet with business, political and community leaders. The last time the convention was held here 10 years ago it was one of the most successful conventions in CHCC history. "

The event will end with a special dinner awards by the California Hispanic Chambers of Commerce.
