The Shops at Mission Viejo Announces New General Manager

Simon’s The Shops at Mission Viejo welcomes Kurt Webb as the new General Manager for the property. Webb began his work with The Shops at Mission Viejo in mid-April and recently relocated to the center full-time as of June 1. 

Webb, 32, will be responsible for local leasing, tenant relations, building operations, security and marketing efforts. Additionally, he will act as a key liaison for various community and strategic organizations.

“As a proven performer with a great management track record, Kurt is a valued member of the Simon team,” said Kelly Hartsell, Simon Property Group Regional Vice President. “Kurt has made a positive impact at each shopping center he has been involved with, and we look forward to Kurt's leadership at The Shops at Mission Viejo.”

Throughout his career with Simon, Webb has worked to enhance the overall shopping experience in his market while consistently improving revenue, operations, security programs and marketing ventures. Additionally, he’s created and developed strong business relationships internally, as well as with tenants and community figures.

Webb has been with Simon Property Group for more than four years, and most recently held the General Manager position at Tacoma Mall in Washington for a year and a half. He previously worked as General Manager at Midland Park Mall in Texas, as well as held management positions at The Domain and Lake Square Mall.

“The Shops at Mission Viejo is a well respected center with a stellar tenant mix,” said Webb. “I’m excited about the opportunity to continue the positive momentum at The Shops at Mission Viejo, and identify new ways to improve and enhance the customer experience.”

Webb is a native of Utah, and earned his degree from Briar Cliff University in Sioux City, Iowa. As a husband and a father to four children, Webb is looking forward to spending time outdoors with his family in the Southern California sun.
