Your weekly guide to some kid-friendly events and activities.

If you are looking for a few kid-friendly places and activities, then you have clicked on the right link. We’ve assembled a weekly calendar with some ideas to keep the kids and the family busy with fun.

We understand that your time is limited, so we have tackled the research for you. Check back each Wednesday for a list of events and activities for the entire family to enjoy locally or within reasonable driving distance.

Drama 2 – Children’s Theater Production: Pinocchio
Where/When: Mission Viejo High School, Thursday and Friday at 7:00pm, Saturday at 2:00pm
Why Go?: Like you have to convince the kiddies to go see everyone’s favorite wooden boy.
Pricing: $6 Children 12 years and under, $8 adults and students

Music & Dance Around the World Program

Where/When: Mission Viejo City Hall, Saturday from 2:00pm to 2:45pm
Why Go?: Perfect for kids 3 years and older to experience music and dance from around the world.
Pricing: Free


Where/When: Crystal Cove State Park, 8471 N Coast Hwy, Laguna Beach, Saturday at noon
Why Go?: Do you really need a reason to show the kids sea urchin and starfish?
Pricing: $15 day pass

Sesame Street Presents: The Body
Where/When: Discovery Science Center, 2500 N. Main St. Santa Ana, Daily from 10:00am to 5:00pm until May 1, 2011.
Why Go?: C’mon, it's Elmo and the Sesame Street bunch in a hands-on exhibit to teach kids about the human body.
Pricing: Adults $12, Children age 2 years and older $9.95

Yoga for Kids
Where/When: Laguna Coast Wilderness Park, 18751 Laguna Canyon Rd, Laguna Beach, Wednesdays from 3:30pm to 4:30pm
Why Go?: Yoga isn’t just for adults, the youngsters ages six to 10 years old can enjoy some fun-filled yoga, too. Yoga mat, towel and water suggested.
Pricing: $3 drop in or $18 for 6-class series, parking $3 per vehicle
