Rain Report: Fallen Trees, Where to Get Sandbags

Mission Viejo has been swimming in three inches of rain since Friday, the city says. Find out where to get sandbags below.

The storm known as the Pineapple Express has dumped 3 inches of rain onto Mission Viejo since Friday and knocked down trees.

City crews picked up two trees knocked down by wind and rain Sunday, city spokeswoman Kelly Tokarski said in a statement. Another three were cleaned from public streets today.

Meanwhile crews have been busy cleaning trash and debris from public streets.

The city offers 10 free sandbags per resident that are pre-filled and can be picked up 24 hours a day. If you need sandbags, there are seven places in town to pick them up:
