Rockin' Dads at Bunny Days Saturday

Bathgate Elementary's Five-Foot Rabbit will perform at Bunny Days Saturday.

Looking for something to do this Easter weekend?

Bunny Days is coming to the Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. You can expect pony rides, crafts, photo opps with the Easter bunny, face painting and carnival games.

This year toddlers get their own play area. (That's kids ages 2 to 4).

The Child Abuse Prevention Center will collect diapers, gently used crib linens and baby blankets for donations, too.

And an appropriately-named band will keep the party rockin'. A collection of dads and teachers at , Five Foot Rabbit will provide modern rock covers for the crowd.

The band lists Stone Temple Pilots, Green Day, Foo Fighters, The Cult, The Ramones, Pearl Jam, and Smashmouth as their influences on their Facebook page.

And who's in this five-month-old band? Kyle Russo (vocals), Brian Stoner (bass), Dane Yagi (guitar), Erick Becker (guitar), and Bill Burakoff (drums). Mr. Russo is a fifth-grade teacher at Bathgate.

Their opening act at Bunny Days is Mouse Trap—a brand new kid band made up of students from and : Travis Yagi (guitar and vocals), Daniel Crane (drums), Anthony Accetta (keyboards), and Andrew Becker (bass). Bunny Days will be Mouse Trap's first gig.
