Watch: Abby the Sea Lion Rescued Off Dana Point

A sick sea lion beached herself in Orange County this week. Watch the first-person video of the rescue.

Being a bit inland on a cool weekend like this, it's easy to forget how close Mission Viejo is to the beach.

A crew from the Pacific Marine Mammal Center in Laguna Beach on Wednesday rescued a sick sea lion—since nicknamed Abby—that beached herself on some rocks at Strands Beach in Dana Point.

They used a GoPro video camera to record the whole thing from a first-person angle.
