Schools and government offices will close countywide Monday. The federal holiday will close all financial markets and shutter most government offices, including the courts, in Orange County.

While other Orange County libraries are closed Monday, the at 100 Civic Center will be open normal business hours.

Mission Viejo City Hall will remain open, too.

"The at 28095 Hillcrest will be closed on Monday," City Spokeswoman Kelly Tokarski said in a statement. "Limited staff will be available to respond to emergency calls only. The center will reopen at 11 a.m. on Tuesday."

The at 24932 Veterans Way will be closed Monday, and will reopen Tuesday.

"The city’s recreation and tennis centers – Sierra Recreation and Fitness Center, 26887 Recodo Lane; Marguerite Tennis Center, 23840 Marguerite Parkway; and Felipe Tennis Center at 27161 Nogal will be open Monday with normal operating hours," Tokarski wrote.

No mail will be sent or delivered by the U.S. Postal Service and the majority of banks will take the day off.

However, expect residential garbage collection to be unaffected by the Monday holiday.

Most stores will remain open as well to take advantage of shoppers enjoying the three-day weekend.
