Actors Swim, Fight, Fall in Love in Pool at Saddleback

Saddleback College students will bring Greek myths to life inside a pool specially created for "Metamorphoses."

Saddleback's newly announced play comes with a warning more common at Sea World: If you're in the first few rows, prepare to get wet!

'Metamorphoses' is a play written in 2002 based on Ovid's classic poetry about the lives of the Greco-Roman gods and goddesses. Like the name suggests, this play is all about changes—like Zeus changing into a beggar and King Ceyx, who becomes a songbird.

The 90-minute play will be performed without interruption. Dates are Nov. 7, 8, 9 at 7:30 p.m. and November 9, 10 at 2:30 p.m. Tickets can be purchased by calling (949) 582-4656 (noon-4 p.m., Wed-Sat) and online at saddleback.edu/arts. Prices are $15 general; $10 students/seniors.
