A violin-piano duo from the Saddleback faculty will take on some of the most imposing names in classical music Saturday, Feb. 1 at 7:30 p.m. inside the McKinney Theater.

Professors Yorgos Kouritas and Kirill Gliadkovsky will perform pieces written by Ludwig Van Beethoven, Johann Sebastian Bach and Johannes Brahms.

Kouritas, who teaches violin, was born in Greece and trained in England. Most recently he served as Assistant Conductor of the Boise Philharmonic and Director of the Boise Philharmonic Youth Orchestra.

Gliadkovsky joined the Saddleback faculty in 2011 teaching piano. L.A. Times critic Josef Woodard praised his "nicely honed musicality" and praised his "gripping and masterful performance.” You can hear his take on Serge Rachmaninoff here.
