Mark Sanchez Fans Can Now Get Their Fix

ESPN announces it will broadcast New York Jets games in the Los Angeles market. That's good news for those who grew up with the quarterback from Rancho Santa Margarita who played at Mission Viejo High.

Mark Sanchez grew up in Rancho Santa Margarita, played high school football at Mission Viejo and college ball at USC.

Now, he's going to be on radio in Los Angeles.

ESPN announced it will broadcast the NFL games of the New York Jets, the team that Sanchez quarterbacks.

The games will be broadcast on KSPN 710-AM beginning with the regular season opener against Dallas on Sept. 11.

The Jets will be the third NFL team to have its games broadcast in the Southland market, .

KLAA 830-AM broadcasts the Oakland Raiders, and KLAC 570-AM broadcasts the San Diego Chargers.

Sanchez, who showed strong leadership skills even in high school, has held . This will be his third year as a professional.

Among those who are in camp with the Jets is Scotty McKnight, a former wide receiver at Tesoro who played college ball at Colorado. McKnight and Sanchez are childhood friends. He was drafted in the seventh round with the team's final pick. He ended his career with Colorado by setting records for receptions (215) and touchdown catches (22).
