Apparently it's been done before, decades ago. A photo of a Mission Viejo Monopoly board that appears to date back about three decades was sent in by alert volunteer and Patch blogger Margot Ferron. Now she'd like to know more about this mystery game, like when it was first published.

Some of these businesses and institutions are still here, like Santa Margarita Water District (a utility, naturally) and Lake Mission Viejo (where Free Parking would go). Some others, like Mission Viejo Skateway and Cinema Viejo, are long gone.
