Mmmm... Bacon Donut: Devilicious Opened Friday

Devilicious Donuts is officially open near Saddleback College.

There's a new donut shop in town, and they've got a different approach to America's favorite breakfast pastry.

Would you eat a bacon maple bar? How about a peanut butter and jelly donut?

Devilicious Donuts opened Friday at 28601 Marguerite Parkway near Saddleback College. Their grand opening is set for Sunday, Aug. 26.

Owner Omar Amin said they sold out their backroom inventory by 11:30 Friday morning.

Check out the photos in our slide show above, then tell us which donut looks tastiest in the comments below.

Oh man, that peaches and fresh whipped cream in a glazed donut sure looks good.

They should have called it "Bloomberg's Sugary Nightmare", now that's a good store name.

They've got some interesting flavors: The Cuban Donut "Roast Beef, Swiss Cheese, Pickles, Russian Dressing on a Glazed Donut. Cigars Sold Separately. (Just Kidding!)"

no offense, but ewww, gross? How would you eat any of them without a complete mess? A donut occasionally with some bavarian creme in the center, or a little jelly, is enough for a treat. There appears to be too much going on with all of them; wouldn't the flavors over-power one another? Better bring a HUGE bottle of water to help your body flush out some of that sugar.

This menu should be a great hit in Mississippi and near college campuses. Surely the cardiologists and endocrinologists (diabetes specialits) are rubbing their hands in glee - JOB SECURITY!

What better than a maple-bacon donut and a Koolickle? Even at the fair, the maple-bacon donut won awards; it's a GREAT combo! This sounds like a great stop on the way to OnTarget to punch some paper, or grab a treat for the MrsChips on occasion!

These doughnuts are amazing. Made to be enjoyed as a treat not as a daily meal. I had a bite of a few different kinds. The first post is right the peaches and cream is amazing. Have a doughnut and workout an extra 15 min. PS. Bacon/Maple was great also.

Oh your so right! And after the cardiologists and endocrinologists (diabetes specialits) take your money and scold you for eating these, they are going to be ordering their own dozen.

Interesting,... I see a few possible treats. I have traveled 1000's of miles to eat good donuts and there has ever always only ever been 1 donut shop so far I have tried that truly had excellent donuts. This new shop intrigued me and I plan on checking it out sooner rather than later. My choice to try will be the maple bacon. This one item will showcase their actual donut mix and it's flavor for the rest of the store. It's maple glaze will either be a wonderful smooth maple flavor or it won't,.... And it's bacon will be a Testiment to the ability to pick out good ingredients and wether or not they have an amply quality meat product and it's thickness,..and if it is cooked correctly or not. Secret - pan frying won't cut it. :-) we shall see! I will Yelp my results. Oh,.. And yes,... Btw,... You ever only get to eat 1/2 of these unless you are in your 26 mile bike ride.

Wow, that is a serious commitment to donuts, Nek! I'm impressed. Tell us what you think after you try D.D.!
