Emotional Freedom Technique Can Release PTSD

For years I’d heard about the Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) and just wrote it off as another “woo-woo” therapy.

After all the claims cover EFT helping everything from removing negative emotions, reducing food cravings, eliminating the pain of fibromyalgia or deep grief to attracting financial abundance. Just the scope of it leads any logical person to doubt.

So here’s the thing … I tried EFT and, for me, it worked.

Are you someone that senses energy inside your own body and others as well? For me, movement of energy is the first and foremost thing I notice about people and my environment.

What EFT did for me was easily release energy stored in my body from wrong thinking and trauma.

Let me give you one full-disclosure example.

In Aril 2013, I was t-boned by a speeding 19 year old while I was turning left out of a blind intersection. I had a slight concussion but walked away on my own.

What I didn’t realize at the time is that Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is a common result of car crashes.

I was haunted by the crashing sound of the car hitting me and the simultaneous assault of the air bag which smacks you in the head so that you don’t slam into the glass window.

How I knew something was wrong when I started to add up some of the cumulative effects that dogged me right up until December when I did some EFT.

The symptoms included:
-I was afraid to drive at night.
-I experienced anxiety when I was in anyone’s blind spot on the freeway.
-I attracted three other situations where I could have easily gotten into a bad accident and each time I panicked and over corrected; something I had never done before.
-I jumped on the inside when a car pulled out in any parking lot that might hit me.

But here’s where it got even weirder and more personal:  The accident caused me to lose my sense of safety in the universe. This was an intangible that I was completely unaware could happen.

The accident also destroyed my confidence in my ability to drive defensively and made me question if I was losing my faculties.

One of the reasons the energy was trapped in my body was because I wasn’t being truly honest with myself about what really happened.

The reason I didn’t accelerate fast enough to get out of the way of the speeder was because I was momentarily daydreaming. I couldn’t admit that to myself at the time, and I wasn’t forgiving myself for it either. I was desperately holding on to really negative energy.

When my skilled EFT practitioner walked me through her process, I was unable to keep the confusion going in my head any longer. I broke down and allowed the truth to flow out of me.

When I did the actual tapping process, it released the energy trapped in my body for the last eight months. I could sense the change immediately.

As a result, I was able to reconnect with my inner self and begin to trust the universe again. It made all of the difference in the world in regaining my confidence and recreating a sense of safety.

EFT is a healing tool based on ancient Chinese acupressure and modern psychology. It works with the same energy meridians used in traditional acupuncture (no needles required) and treats both physical and emotional ailments.

Simple tapping is created by using the fingertips to send kinetic energy to specific meridians on the body while you think about a problem and speak positive affirmations.

This combination works to short circuit emotional blocks from your body's bioenergy system. It then restores your mind-body balance and basically clears the negative energy so it no longer affects you.

You have to try it to really understand the process and feel the changes. I also believe the practitioner can make all the difference in your results.
