Funny Man Dave Barry Heading to Mission Viejo

With collaborator Ridley Pearson, Pulitzer Prize-winning author Dave Barry will sign books at an event Aug. 19 at 7 p.m.

Pulitzer Prize-winning humorist Dave Barry is coming to town.

Part of the city's Writers Present program, Barry and co-author Ridley Pearson will appear at the , 24932 Veterans Way, on Aug. 19 at 7 p.m.

Barry and Pearson will promote their new book, The Bridge to Neverland, which is scheduled for release the second week in August.

Barry, who lives in Miami, is the author of more than two dozen books including Dave Barry Slept Here: A Sort of History of the United States, Dave Barry Is from Mars and Venus and Dave Barry Is Not Making This Up.

He has made a lot of jokes about toilets, too.
