Kwanzaa Celebration Planned

The Orange County event will be held at noon Wednesday.

To celebrate Kwanzaa, the Orange County chapter of the National Council of
Negro Women will host food, speakers and live entertainment at noon Wednesday in Santa Ana.

"Coming Home - Our Journey Continues'' is the theme of the event, which will feature guest speakers Lezlee Hinesmon-Matthews of Cal State Fullerton's African American Studies Department and children's book author Steve Taylor. Taylor will present his books The Story of Kwanzaa and Voices to Our Children.

The program begins at 1:30 and the event winds up at 4 p.m.
