Mission Viejo is known and loved as a safe city. While you may not worry while walking around town, major crimes are sometimes hatched here.

San Clemente's John Melvin "Pops" Walker is accused of making millions off nine illegal pot shops in Orange County and Long Beach, and hiding the earnings from the government.

Perry "Bucky" Forehand, 33, of Mission Viejo, helped Walker open and maintain a Dana Point dispensary a few hundred feet from a Montessori School.

Mission Viejo Man Wanted in Double Homicide Captured at Border

A man from Mission Viejo suspected of killing two men and critically shooting two women last month in North Las Vegas was arrested at the U.S.-Mexico border in June.

In May, a man pled not guilty to tying up, pistol-whipping and robbing Mission Viejo residents of the Promenade Apartments.

Michael Vincent Ginger, 23, pled not guilty to 22 felonies, including first-degree robbery and assault with a firearm.
