Night Road Work on Oso, Marguerite

Find out where traffic will be impacted on Oso and Marguerite this week.

From Monday through Thursday, workers will repave intersections along both Oso and Marguerite parkways.

Oso from Pacific Hills to Country Club and Marguerite from Claro to Via Angelina will be paved as part of a larger project to widen these intersections.

This is one of the last steps in the ongoing project.

The city warns that the nighttime work could disturb residents nearby.

The work is expected to continue with striping and the replacement of traffic signal detector loops in the weeks ahead.

It is a private organization, so what they do with their rules, is really their business.…Read More Homophobia is not against the law, especially since they are not involved in any discriminatory practices. That said, the fact they choose to air this out allows one to comment on it. As to why anyone would wanted their kid in such an organization is beyond me, but the tide is clear, and increasingly bigotry is being chipped away. So, to those kids who want to be part of this organization, I hope it brings them some joy. It is not as if there were no gays in the Boy Scouts before, it is just that they now can announce that they exist.

And I wasn't…Read More bashing Chipotle, Charlie, I was bashing our collective notion that education is about "getting a better job." I was bashing our total disrespect for education and educators. The last thing we need to do it bash their unions. We need to take a look at the leadership of the union but the vehicle of the union is all that stands between us and corporate greed.

As I do agree, teachers are under paid, but offering something like Chipotle did is great. I think we need to bash their unions instead of great companies like Chipotle who are just offering a benefit.
