Snow at Lake Mission Viejo Planned for December

For the first time this year, Lake Mission Viejo will bring real snow to town for Santa's arrival.

Hear those sleigh bells jingling?

It may be hard to imagine on a 90-plus-degree day in October, but is planning to bring snow—artificial snow, of course—to the lake Dec. 10.

That's according to an announcement from Board President Fred Mellenbruch made Tuesday night.

How much snow? Enough to bobsled on, the president said.

The snow will be part of the annual visit from Santa Claus. There are elves on hand to help make spirits bright. This year a puppet show is being planned, too.
