Free Pet Food For Seniors and The Unemployed THIS Saturday

Rescue Group Provides Free Pet Food to Those In Need

The Pet Rescue Center, a Mission Viejo non-profit animal rescue group, operates its Pet Pantry on the second Saturday of each month. The program is designed to help struggling pet owners keep their pets and provides free pet food, cat litter, and other pet-related products to local pet owners who qualify for their program.

Additionally, The Pet Rescue Center provides pet food and other items (both donated and purchased)  to South County Outreach in Lake Forest.  When available, South County Outreach dispenses pet food through their Food Pantry program.  The Pet Rescue Center received a grant from Banfield Charitable Foundation to fund this program.  The Pet Pantry is also sponsored in part by RUFF (ruffrescue.org).  Donations for The PRC’s Pet Pantry have already been received from Target in Aliso Viejo and Russo’s Pet Center in Laguna Niguel, and The PRC is looking for more partners to donate to this program.

The Pet Rescue Center’s Pet Pantry operates out of Alicia Pet Care Center, located at 25800 Jeronimo Rd, Suite 100, in Mission Viejo.  Pet food and pet-related other items will be available to those who qualify on the second Saturday of each month, from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m.  Applications are available online at www.thepetrescuecenter.org/programs/community and inside Alicia Pet Care Center during business hours.

If you would like to participate by donating to The PRC’s Pet Pantry, pet food and cat litter can be dropped off at Alicia Pet Care Center or you can contribute online at www.thepetrescuecenter.org/give.  Please indicate Pet Pantry on your donation.  Contact Jan Henry at give@thepetrescuecenter.org for more information.
