Ask the Doc About Memory Loss and Alzheimer's Disease

ASK THE DOC about Alzheimer's, dementia and memory loss.

UCI Mind is hosting Ask the Doc on Thurs., March 21, 2013 from 1 to 3 p.m. at Saddleback Church, 1 Saddleback Pkwy., Lake Forest, CA, Room 404.  This is an opportunity to learn more about Alzheimer’s disease, dementias and memory loss.

UCI Mind is the University of California Irvine’s Institute for Memory Impairments and Neurological Disorders.  Designated as an Alzheimer’s disease center, UCI Mind is Orange County’s only state and federal center.  Frank LaFerla, Director and professor of UCI Mind will moderate a panel of esteemed experts (UCI neurologist, neuropsychologist, psychologist and scientific researcher) who will answer your questions about Alzheimer’s and other dementias.  It will include brain fitness, diagnosis, treatment, prevention strategies, caregiving and research developments.

As the Baby Boomer generation ages, Alzheimer’s is expected to become a growing health concern in the United States.  It is one of the most feared diseases among seniors.  Most Americans feel unprepared to care for a loved one diagnosed with the disease.
