Get Rid of Your Clutter: Yard Sale for a Great Cause

Get rid of your old stuff and help cancer survivors.

If you don’t use it, need it or love it, donate it to the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life/ Mission Viejo Yard Sale. Clean out your closets, attics and your garages. Clear away your clutter.

Most of us have trouble parting with things even if we never use them. It’s a good sign you won't miss something if you haven't used it for over a year. Remind yourself that it can go to a great cause.

Challenge your family, friends and neighbors to contribute by getting rid of those items that are just collecting dust. It’s no longer junk or trash: it is an opportunity for Relay for Life to raise money to honor cancer survivors at events throughout the year.

So, what is Relay? Relay for Life of Mission Viejo is a 24-hour overnight event that will be held at Saddleback College on June 1-2, 2013 from 9 a.m.-9 a.m. Teams walk on the track at Saddleback College to create awareness and raise money in the fight against cancer.

Relay for Life is not just a walk, but a year-round community fundraising event to combat cancer. Committee members volunteer throughout the year to organize events to raise money, honor our survivors, caregivers and our loved ones we have lost. They plan the 24- hour walk and so much more. There is something for everyone.
