Unwanted Electronic Waste? Get Rid of it Saturday
Businesses and residents can responsibly dispose of electronic waste Saturday in Mission Viejo.
The City of Mission Viejo and the Friends of the Library are hosting an E-Waste Recyling Drive with Absolute Green Recycling on Sat., Feb. 23 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the parking lot at 200 Civic Center Dr.
Businesses and residents can responsibly dispose of electronic waste. E-waste is any consumer electronic equipment that has reached the end of its use whether it is working or not. The drive includes most electronics with a cord or circuit board such as:
- cables
- computer monitors
- copiers
- cords
- cell phones, fax machines
- hard drives
- ink/toner cartridges
- keyboards, laptops, monitors, printers, scanners
- shredders
- stereo equipment,
- TVs, DVDs and VCRs
Absolute Green Recycling doesn’t accept any light bulbs, household appliances (large or small), large office equipment or batteries of any type. That includes no bulky electronics such as tread mills, pianos or garden machinery.

You can dispose of your batteries and light bulbs by taking them to the Home Depot in Mission Viejo and leaving them at the Customer Service Desk.
