Healthy Kids Day at the YMCA Blasted into Summer Fun!

The YMCA Healthy Kids Day celebrated children Saturday.

More than 1,900 YMCAs across the country celebrated Healthy Kids Day, an initiative to improve health and well-being of kids on Sat., April 27, 2013. The YMCA in Mission Viejo kick-started their summer program with a free, fun-filled day for kids and families.

The YMCA is a nonprofit organization dedicated to building stronger families and communities. They encourage families to eat well, play everyday, spend time together and get outside!

It was a festive day, engaging our youth to be active and to incorporate healthy eating habits into their lives. Being a healthy, active family is hard work. Healthy Kids Day inspires parents to get outside with their kids and get moving.
