The International Day of Peace was established by the United Nations in 1981. "Peace Day" was created to promote practical acts of peace on a shared date.   The day is a reminder to all people that above our differences we can come together for peace.  It is also a Day of Ceasefire.

To commemorate and celebrate this day “Listen for Life” concert will take place Fri., Sept. 21 from 5:30-10 pm at the City’s World Cup Soccer Center at 27301 La Paz Rd, Mission Viejo, 92692.

The concerts began three years ago to preserve the diverse musical styles and cultures in every region of the world.  It is an effort to expand peace through music globally.
