Composting Made Easy- Margot Ferron

The City of Mission Viejo and Waste Management is hosting a free, compost workshop on Sept. 14, 2013 at 9 am at the Farmers Market at 200 Civic Center Dr, Mission Viejo, CA 92691.   At 10 am vermi-composting (worm composting) will take place.

Learn how to turn your waste into rich compost for your yard.  This workshop will include a lecture, hands-on demonstration and discussion.   It is estimated that composting can decrease your contribution to landfills by 25-30%.

Why compost?  Composting is nature’s way of recycling.   It turns your waste into a rich fertilizer, mulch or potting soil.  Composting is easy, great for your yard and garden.  Plus it saves money, water and conserves our natural resources.
