Experience Democracy in Action!- Margot Ferron

On Sat. Feb. 22, 2014 State Senator Mimi Walters welcomed the community to her Campaign Headquarters grand opening at 23615 El Toro Rd., Suite U, Lake Forest, CA 92630 (near Smart & Final).

Walters is running for Congress in the 45th districts seat currently held by John Campbell.  Her public service began in Laguna Niguel as a councilwoman and later Mayor in 2000.  She is the founder of the California Women’s Leadership Association and has served on several boards- the South Coast Medical Center Foundation, National Association of Women Business Owners and the American Cancer Society.

In 1994, history was made as the American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life began in the Saddleback Valley region. Walters spear-headed the first relay with Mayor Linda Lindholm of Laguna Niguel.   Even then she championed the way for others to serve in their community and fight back against cancer.
