Friends Helping a Friend- Margot Ferron

Often times it’s hard to know how to respond when someone you love is diagnosed with cancer.   It can be frightening, confusing and heart breaking.  You may even be tempted to pull back from your friendship so you can avoid the uncomfortable feelings you have.

Instead of freaking out, for a group of Zumba instructors it is simple.  They will show their love and support by having a Zumbathon in honor of their friend.

“Zumba for Life,” meets to exercise every other Saturday at Montanoso Recreation Center.  Iknur-Erbas White and friends lead this energetic, dance fitness workout with exhilarating, Latin and international music.   The cost is $10.

You are not alone, Christie.  Many of these Zumba instructors are survivors.   In fact, Erbas-White who is the coordinator for this event is a Survivor and she has tirelessly raised funds for the American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life/Mission Viejo for many years.
