There are several free events in Mission Viejo on Saturday. Some of them are Earth Day/Arbor Festival, Family Art Day, Healthy Kids Day, National Prescription Take Back Day and Shop For A Cause Yard Sales.
Earth Day/Arbor Festival
The City of Mission Viejo will mark Earth Day 2014 on Sat., April 26, 2014 by planting the slopes on Avery Parkway between Marguerite and the Arroyo Trabuco Golf Course. Volunteers are needed from 8 am to Noon to plant trees and shrubs, plus clean-up litter. Anyone of any age can participate and plant one and five galloon plants as well as 15 galloon trees.

In addition, a Green Expo will be held at Coronado Park, 26652 Las Ondas Dr, MV 92692. It will feature environmental exhibits, earthly crafts, recycling and conservation tips. Free hotdogs and ice cream will be served while supplies last.
Family Art Day at the Kaleidoscope

The City of Mission Viejo, Friends of the Arts and the Kaleidescope are sponsoring a free, Family Art Day on Sat., April 26, 2104 from Noon to 5 pm at the Kaleidescope, 27741 Crown Valley Pkwy, Mission Viejo, CA 92691.

Healthy Kids Day at the YMCA
The YMCA in Mission Viejo, 27341 Trabuco Canyon, MV 92691 will host this free, fun-filled day for kids and families from 10 am to 2pm. .The festive day will include a variety of fun activities- bounce house, photo booth, rockwall, laser tag, face painting, obstacle course, free massages, Lizard Wizard, crafts and games.

National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day- Margot Ferron
The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), and the Sheriffs’ Department Services will be hosting another National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day which will take place on Sat., April 26, 2014 from 10 am to 2 pm in Mission Viejo’s City Hall parking lot located at 200 Civic Center Dr.,MV 92691. Drive thru and discard your unwanted, medications.
SHOP at Our Yard Sales for A Cause
On Sat., April 26, 2014 the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life of Mission Viejo will host two yard sales one at 22785 Fortuna Lane, Mission Viejo from 7am - 2pm. For more information, contact Mary Silvey at mmsilvey@cox.net.
