Mission Viejo Opens Playoffs With Victory

Mission Viejo took care of business in the first round of the Southern Section/Ford Basketball Championships on Friday. The Diablos overcame a sloppy start with some nice runs that resulted in a 66-46 victory over Oxnard Pacifica in Division 1AA. 

Third-seeded Mission Viejo will play in the second round at Los Osos, which scored a 75-73 victory over 14th-seeded Walnut.
