Elks Lodge Receives California Legislature Assembly Recognition

Mission Viejo / Saddleback Valley Elks Lodge No. 2444 (“Elks Lodge”) has received from 73rd District Assembly Woman, Diane L. Harkey, a California Legislature Assembly Certificate of Recognition. The certificate recognized the Elks Lodge for its donation of $14,000 for the purchase of a K-9 dog and dedicated support for the Orange County Sheriff’s Department and for the safety of its community.

Starting in the early 1980’s, this is the Elks Lodge fifth donation of a fully trained K-9 dog to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.

The Mission Viejo / Saddleback Elks Lodge No. 2444, celebrating forty-three (43) years of service to the Saddleback Valley communities, is one of ten lodges in the Orange Coast District of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks (BPOE) whose headquarters is in Chicago, Illinois. The BPOE is a charitable organization with a 145 year history of giving, “Elks Care, Elks Share.”
