Elks Lodge Receives Tear Filled Thank You Note from Lake Forest Senior

Mission Viejo / Saddleback Valley Elks Lodge (“Elks Lodge”) has received a note of thanks from Treesa Spencer and her daughter Roxanne (under going cancer treatments) for the recent repairs made to Treesa’s Lake Forest home.

In part, Treesa said, “… I sat in my back yard, looked at my beautiful restored balcony and decking and cried my heart out. When I thought I couldn’t cry anymore, I went in the house and looked at the lovely railing and patched ceiling and cried again. Then, the roofer showed up and Lord I started crying again. I just couldn’t get over my feelings of love and gratitude for you all.” She continued, “Roxanne can now walk safely down the stairs by herself, with the rail support and the rain doesn’t leak in her bedroom anymore. What a blessing! I don’t know how I can ever repay you but, I surely will try to help your organizations, as best that I can.  There isn’t a day goes by that I don’t search my mind to think of things I will do, when I am able to leave Roxanne alone again.”

The Mission Viejo / Saddleback Elks Lodge No. 2444, celebrating forty three (43) years of service to the Saddleback Valley communities, is one of ten lodges in the Orange Coast District of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks (BPOE) whose headquarters is in Chicago, Illinois. The BPOE is a charitable organization with a 145 year history of giving, “Elks Care, Elks Share.”
