911 Tapes Released of Mission Viejo High School Electrocution

Captured on the recordings is the moment a second worker was electrocuted and fell from the scaffolding.

The Orange County Fire Authority today released the 911 calls that flooded in when a worker was electrocuted last week at Mission Viejo High School

Daniel Pohl, 23, of Apple Valley was working at the high school on some scaffolding when he was found unresponsive. Another man was injured when he came to Pohl's aid, touched he back of his neck on some wires and fell to the ground.

Callers told emergency workers that the injured worker was up at least 40 feet on scaffolding.

A 911 operator was on the phone with a woman when the other worker fell from the scaffolding. She had originally told him that Pohl may have had a heart attack. But when she witnessed the second man fall, that's when she realized what was going on.

"Oh my god it's electrical, it's electrical," she shrieked.

"Have everyone stay away. Have everyone back off," the 911 told her. You can hear her instructing others.
