Agencies Join Forces to Capture Dorner

The Dorner Task Force includes Irvine, Riverside and Los Angeles police, FBI and Marshals Service.

Officials from a variety of law-enforcement agencies announced Saturday the formation of a task force to enhance the investigation and search for accused triple-killer Christopher Dorner.

The Irvine Police Department, Riverside Police Department, FBI, U.S. Marshals Service, Los Angeles Police Department and some allied organizations will join the pursuit of Dorner.

Dorner is a fired Los Angeles police officer suspected of shooting to death last Sunday the 28-year-old daughter of an ex-LAPD captain who unsuccessfully represented Dorner in an appeal of his 2008 termination and her 27-year-old fiancé.

He also is accused of killing a Riverside police officer and wounding another early Thursday in an armed ambush of their car as it was stopped at a traffic light, about 20 minutes after he wounded an LAPD officer in a Corona shootout.

“The Dorner Task Force has combined investigative resources that will lead to the capture of Christopher Dorner,” LAPD Officer Rosario Herrera said.

Herrera urged anyone with information about Dorner to call (213) 486-6860.

First article that I've seen that used the word CAPTURE. I gotta figure this guy is dead even if he surrenders. I wonder what the reward is for the cop that kills him.

"And to have a few sick Law Enforcement personnel ruin it for the entire establishment is wrong." You don't understand, ms.sc. 95% cover for one another with the 'code of silence' which makes 95% of them bad. If a good one covers for a bad one it automatically makes him bad. The entire culture is sick. You can't overlook that. If you do you are only fooling yourself. The police culture must change to bring integrity back to our society. But they have no intention of changing because they view themselves as our 'betters' who have the power and authority to get whatever they want. Please, wise up, ms.sc. See society for what we've become!

I would like to ask all the cop hater trash talkers to plz remove the number 1 from your phone. You obliviously have balls enough to handle any robbery shooting or rape you and your family may experience plus the hundreds of other emergency that you will not hesitate to dial 911 for. Or if not just send a post card with a map to the longest route to your call. And plz dont drive or get sick because Fire, Police and EMT`s have a comradely its called Professional courtesy. And its courteous to share your crap on the bottom of my boot info to those agency`s.As for Doner I hope they find some quick Smith & Wesson 5946 therapy to give him ;-}.... Cha Boom

the manhunt is for a legally and responsibly gun carrying citizen... if you don't like the culture in cali and you prefer the mentality of texas then go live in texas ... texas is 100,000 sq miles larger than cali, yet 12% of the population of the entire nation lives in cali .. ...12 million more people live in cali than in texas... texas begs people to move their state... but no one wants to go ...why not..??

Because the best thing that came out of Texas was an empty bus.
