Backpack with Bullets Spotted on Aguirre

Early Tuesday morning, someone spotted a backpack on the sidewalk of Aguirre with bullets on top of it.

The call to police was made at 6:58 a.m. from the 24500 block of Aguirre.

3:32 p.m. Assist outside agency, Trabuco/Alicia: A nephew called for help after picking up his uncle who was drunk, bloody and passed out in his Toyota Tacoma.

12:05 p.m. Traffic hazard, Crown Valley Parkway/I-5: Vehicles exiting the freeway onto Crown Valley Parkway were blocking the intersection. One driver sat through three signal phases on Crown Valley without being able to move. The caller described it as "major gridlock" and asked for an officer to direct traffic. The exiting vehicles may have been avoiding .

12:43 a.m. Drunk driving, Springfield/Rustic Oak: A silver Dodge Magnum was speeding through the neighborhood without lights on, according to a caller. The caller thought the driver may have been drunk.

TUESDAY

8:22 p.m. Suspicious person/circumstances, Trabuco/Alicia: A homeless woman was seen taking the clothes out of a donation bin and throwing them around. She may have been planning to camp for the night, according to a caller.

6:25 p.m. Suspicious person/circumstances, 26700 block Via Linares: A woman told police she may have been drugged Sunday night with rohypnol, a date-rape drug commonly referred to as "roofies."

5:38 p.m. Disturbance-Family Dispute, 26200 block Las Flores: A mother told police her daughter was arguing and throwing things at her. A 38-year-old woman was arrested and remains in custody on $25,000 bail.

5:10 p.m. Suspicious Person/Circumstances, : Four minors were seen smoking from a bong.

2:32 p.m. Patrol check, La Paz/Muirlands: Police checked the bridge for a boy with a white shirt throwing rocks at passing trains.

11:08 a.m. Welfare check, Marguerite Parkway/Casta Del Sol: An infant was spotted sleeping in the back seat of a silver Honda Odyssey with no adults around and the vehicle window "barely rolled down," according to a caller.

9:44 a.m. Suspicious person/circumstances, 24000 block Alicia Parkway: A man in his 20s was spotted trying to take things from customers near Via Fabricante.

9:36 a.m. Found property, Melrose Drive: Someone found a driver's license on his front porch.

8 a.m. Petty theft, 27800 block Emerald: A man wearing black pants and a black hat was spotted stealing gas out of vehicles. He had driven up in a new white Ford pickup truck, according to a caller.
