Blood Found Inside Chadwick Home

Police found a bloody towel and blood stains on a bathtub inside the Newport Coast home of Peter and Quee "Q.C." Chadwick.

Newport Beach police officers sent to check on the well-being of Peter and Quee "Q.C." Chadwick earlier this month found a bloody towel, blood stains on a bathtub, broken glass and an open safe, according to a report in the Orange County Register.

Newport police were alerted to the Chadwick home on Oct. 10 when Quee Chadwick, 46, failed to pick up her three children from school that afternoon. At about 5:30 a.m. the next morning, Peter Chadwick , 48, called San Diego police as he drove along Interstate 905 and was later arrested and ultimately charged with murder for financial gain, which makes him eligible for the death penalty or life in prison without parole if convicted. He pleaded not guilty.

Quee Chadwick's fully-clothed body was found in a dumpster Thursday by a passer-by in the 1200 block of Wildcat Canyon Road in Lakeside. The San Diego County Coroner's Office reported her cause of death as strangulation.

According to the newspaper, Peter Chadwick dropped off two of his sons, ages 12 and 8, at the private Pegasus School in Huntington Beach at 7 a.m. on Oct.10, but no one returned to pick them up after school.

The mother of another student drove the Chadwick boys to their Newport Coast home on Almanzora, but the doors were locked. She then drove to her home in Huntington Beach and called police.

The couple was talking about getting a divorce, according to Newport Beach police. Peter Chadwick, who was denied bail, is jailed in Orange County pending a pretrial hearing on Friday.

Anyone who may have information regarding this crime is asked to contact the Newport Beach Police Department at 800-550-NBPD or Detective Bryan Moore at 949-644-3764. Messages can be left anonymously if desired.
