Blotter: Christopher Park Missionary 'Too Nice'

Read police calls made this week in Mission Viejo.

A young man passing out religious tracts in Christopher Park had the police called on him Wednesday afternoon.

The woman calling police said he was "too nice and made her nervous." The call was made at 1:52 p.m. Wednesday.

On Friday, a Promenade Apartments employee got into a fight with a former resident. He said the resident swung at him but missed.

The employee was fired Wednesday, he told police. The Promenade Apartments are near Saddleback College on Marguerite Parkway.

Also in the police blotter:

  • A large tree branch obstructed traffic at La Paz/Mosquero Lane, and was reported at 7:24 a.m. Thursday.
  • An SUV hit a tree at Olympiad Road and Stonegate. It was reported at 6:54 a.m.
  • Late Wednesday night, three women were seen running around in pajamas near the Athens/Bozenta intersection. One wore a red cape.
  • A son punched a hole in his parents' wall and threw over furniture. He hadn't taken his anti-depression medication, according to the parents. Police were called from La Cabra at 5:48 p.m. Wednesday.
