Blotter—Mom Punches Daughter at the Mall

Someone saw a woman hit her daughter on the arm, cover her mouth and nose with her hand and then hit the girl on the arm again. The incident was reported at 8:11 p.m. Tuesday at the Mission Viejo Mall.

11:15 p.m. Suspicious persons/circumstances, Kaleidoscope Center: Someone told police 25 underage people were drinking.

8:38 p.m. Stolen vehicle, 27600 block Torija: A mother called police after her daughter took her mint green Lincoln Navigator without permission.

4:41 p.m. Fraud, 23100 block Bouquet Canyon: Someone allegedly calling from the electric company ordered a resident to pay $500 or their power would be shut off.

1 a.m. Assist outside agency, 26400 block Via Roble: A 2-month-old was having trouble breathing and turning purple, according to the caller. The baby could be heard crying in the background.
