Blotter: Teen Reportedly Smacks Parents with Guitar

The following is a selection of calls from Mission Viejo to the Orange County Sheriff's Department from Jan. 13 to Jan. 17.

A mother called police on her 18-year-old son 9 p.m. Friday. She said he was hitting her and her husband with a guitar and broke things around their house on the 26000 block of Granvia Drive.

Disturbance 1:13 p.m., Monday, Marguerite Parkway/La Barca. A caller reported about 20 kids by the pool.

Disturbance 1:04 p.m., Monday, 27700 block of Santa Margarita Parkway. A caller reported kids in a black Honda refusing to move their car out of the drive-thru. There is a McDonald's at that address.

Traffic accident 11:01 a.m. Monday, Alicia Parkway/Jeronimo Road. The caller in a Mercedes reported a collision with a Hyundai. An elderly woman complained of neck pain.

Suspicious person/circumstances 9:23 a.m., Monday, 27600 block of Santa Margarita Parkway. The caller reported a transient loitering and making noises at customers.

Battery report 8:05 a.m., Monday, 27700 block of Medical Center Road. A patient at Mission Hospital reported assault, which happened in Aliso Viejo.

Suspicious person/circumstances 4:41 a.m., Monday, 23900 block of Via El Rocio. The caller reported a man checking car doors.

Disturbance 11:52 p.m., Sunday, 25500 block of Jeronimo Road. The caller said her estranged husband broke out the windows in her car and drove off.

Shots heard 11:52 p.m., Sunday, 27000 block of Via Grande. The caller heard a shot in the area.

Keep the peace 11:18 p.m., Sunday, 26800 block of Las Tunas Drive. A man said his landlord tried to illegally evict him. The caller said the landlord had her brother call him to try to scare the caller away.

Keep the peace 8 p.m., Sunday, 27000 block of Puerta del Oro. A caller bought a used car but was upset about its condition and wanted to return it. The seller refused.

Trespassing 7:46 p.m., Sunday, 21600 block of Fairbrook. A caller saw lights and heard running water inside a vacant house that the caller owns.

Citizen assist 3:15 p.m., Sunday, 27800 block of Violet. A caller reported kids smoking.

Suspicious person/circumstances 3:16 p.m., Sunday, 26500 block of Corsica Road. A caller reported four kids shooting either BB or paintball guns.

Disturbance 2 p.m., Sunday, 27100 block of Huerta. The caller argued with a 16-year-old son.

Keep the peace 12:57 p.m., Sunday, 26800 block of Las Tunas Drive. The caller said a tenant, who received an eviction notice, tried to remove locks.

Suspicious person/circumstances 12:35 p.m., Sunday, Charlinda Drive/Alicia Parkway. A caller reported a man on a bike wearing a dress and makeup.

Disturbance 12:25 p.m., Sunday, 28700 block of Marguerite Parkway. A caller reported a homeless man scaring customers away and refusing to leave.

Disturbance 12:06 p.m., Sunday, 27700 block of Rodrigo. A caller said his granddaughter hit him.

Traffic stop 11:10 a.m., Sunday, Marguerite Parkway/College Center. Police cited and released a 21-year-old student.

Disturbance 2:45 a.m., Sunday, 21600 block of Marguerite Parkway. A caller said a large party turned into an argument and possibly a fight.

Welfare check 2:11 a.m., Sunday, 28000 block of Hillcrest. The caller said a woman came into a business and seemed disoriented. She said she was released from the hospital and had been standing out on PCH for hours.

Disturbance 1:08 a.m., Sunday, 28000 block of Marguerite Parkway. The caller reported a party, which turned into a fight.

Disturbance 11:51 p.m., Saturday, 26700 block of Sotelo. A caller said he came to pick up property at the location and a person argued with him and tried to run him over in a Chevy Impala.

Disturbance 11:10 p.m., Saturday, 26900 block of Jasper. The caller reported people stomping and walking too loudly.

Disturbance 10:44 p.m., Saturday, 26800 block of Alexandrite. The caller argued with a roommate.

Disturbance 8:40 p.m., Saturday, Alicia Parkway/Olympiad Road. The caller reported being followed by someone in a Toyota Tundra.

Suspicious person/circumstances 8:10 p.m., Saturday, Madero/Los Alisos Boulevard. The caller reported a drunken man walking on Madero. When the caller’s mother passed him, he reached for something behind him and the caller became afraid, thinking it was a weapon.

Suspicious person/circumstances 8 p.m., Saturday, Via Linda/Alicia Parkway. The  caller reported an 8-year-old girl loitering in the park. The caller was concerned because there were no adults nearby.

Brandishing a weapon report 7:07 p.m., Saturday, 26100 block of Camino Adelanto. The caller said three men chased her 12-year-old son from school.

Suspicious person/circumstances 6:52 p.m., Saturday, Marguerite Parkway/La Paz Road. The caller reported a Ford Escape with two small children alone inside.

Disturbance 5:36 p.m., Saturday, 26000 block of Via Pera. The caller reported a drunken brother who pushed the caller.

Suspicious person/circumstances 5:35 p.m., Saturday, Olympus Drive/Muirlands Boulevard. The caller reported 15-20 kids hanging out on the street corner, climbing on trees and street signs.

Welfare check 5:33 p.m., Saturday, Alicia Parkway/Muirlands Boulevard. The caller reported a black Jetta with either a baby or a dog inside. The caller couldn’t see inside but could hear whining coming from within.

Defrauding an innkeeper 5:03 p.m., Saturday, 26200 block of Via Logrono. The caller in a taxi said a customer didn’t pay his fare.

Traffic hazard 4:54 p.m., Saturday, Leicester/Portsmouth. The caller said parents set up “children at play” signs in the middle of the streets and let their children run around. The caller said it was getting dark and it was way too dangerous for kids to be out in the street.

Citizen assist 4:10 p.m., Saturday, 22000 block of Cosala. The caller said someone tampered with her dryer machine. The caller thought it was the neighbor who she doesn’t get along with.

Suspicious person/circumstances 3:30 p.m., Saturday, 25900 block of Pala. The caller said a man kept walking near the church asking kids for cigarettes.

Battery report 2:05 p.m., Saturday, 27700 block of Medical Center Road. The caller at Mission Hospital said a patient said he was assaulted in Capo Beach the night before.

Disturbance 11:26 a.m., Saturday, 26600 block of Via Cuervo. The caller said her 13-year-old tried to hit her.

Disturbance 10:37 a.m., Saturday, 26100 block of Camino Adelanto. The caller’s daughter called him crying because of a dispute with a neighbor.

Assist outside agency 9:08 a.m., Saturday, 27400 block of Camden. A woman called because she was drunk and depressed.      

Warrant arrest 8:42 a.m., Saturday, 22700 block of Boltana. Police arrested and released a 23-year-old salesman.

Unknown trouble 3:30 a.m., Saturday, 28300 block of Pinebrook. The caller heard a woman yelling.

Suspicious person in a vehicle 3:15 a.m., Saturday, 22300 block of Willow Tree. The caller reported two men sleeping in a car who refused to open their window for security.

Disturbance 11:54 p.m., Friday, 23700 block of Via Navarra. The caller’s brother was in a fight with people over a party. Someone took him to the hospital.

Suspicious person/circumstances 10:57 p.m., Friday, 26700 block of Bridgeton. The caller heard a neighbor’s empty trash cans being knocked over into the street.

Prowler 10:17 p.m., Friday, 25200 block of Chrisanta Drive. The caller said she heard someone try and open the door.

Citizen assist 10:19 p.m., Friday, 22900 block of Clarozin. The caller reported sewage coming out of a pipe on the hill behind her house.

Suspicious person/circumstances 9:58 p.m., Friday, 25100 block of Pradera Drive. The caller reported a large suitcase in the middle of the front parking lot at La Paz Junior High School.

Suspicious person/circumstances 9:46 p.m., Friday, Santa Margarita Parkway/Marguerite Parkway. The caller reported a man drinking alcohol who kept going back and forth between the front of Starbucks and the back. Police cited and released a 49-year-old construction worker.

Disturbance 9:38 p.m., Friday, 27700 block of Crown Valley Parkway. The caller reported four or five kids fighting with someone on the ground.

Suspicious person/circumstances 8:10 p.m., Friday, 26400 block of Pepita Drive. The caller’s 16-year-old son said someone tried to open the front door to the house.

Firework violation 8:04 p.m., Friday, 28200 block of Flechas. The caller said someone set off fireworks.

Suspicious person/circumstances 7:33 p.m., Friday, 24100 block of Castilla Lane. The caller said someone leaned over the wall of the caller’s backyard and took pictures of the caller’s 13-year-old daughter and her friend.

Traffic stop 6:53 p.m., Friday, Puerta Real/Crown Valley Parkway. Police cited and released a 24-year-old clerk.

Disturbance 6:17 p.m., Friday, 26900 block of Crown Valley Parkway. The caller said a man, possibly on drugs, asked for narcotics and refused to leave.

Assist outside agency 6:12 p.m., Friday, 23000 block of Alicia Parkway. The caller said a man came in and tried to exchange fake bills for real bills. Police cited and released a 19-year-old janitor.

Suspicious person/circumstances 4:21 p.m., Friday, 26100 block of Avenida Bonachon. The caller said someone tried to offer the caller’s 13-year-old son a ride from school.

Suspicious person/circumstances 2:29 p.m., Friday, 23000 block of Via Santa Maria. The caller said a suspicious man asked park patrons strange questions.

Disturbance 7:46 a.m., Friday, 25500 block of Jeronimo Road. The caller reported high school students refusing to leave the property.

Traffic accident 7:44 a.m., Friday, Marguerite Parkway/Oso Parkway. The caller reported a collision involving a gray Ford and a black Ford Ranger. The caller said the driver of the other car smelled like marijuana.

Pedestrian check 6:51 a.m., Friday, La Real/La Mar. Police arrested a 29-year-old salesman.

Disturbance 10:09 p.m., Thursday, 27500 block of Bellogente. The said he argued with his mother, who locked him out of the house.

Trespassing 9:59 p.m., Thursday, Alicia Parkway/Cypress Point. The caller reported six kids who jumped the gate and were in the pool and spa.

Welfare check 8:19 p.m., Thursday, 26900 block of La Alameda. The caller said she argued with her husband.

Disturbance 7:50 p.m., Thursday, 28300 block of Marguerite Parkway. The caller saw a 27-year-old arguing with her boyfriend. The caller saw him throw coffee at her and yell. The man drove away. Police arrested and released a 25-year-old man.

Illegal peddling 7:45 p.m., Thursday, 28400 block of Los Alisos Boulevard. The caller reported a man knocking on doors demanding to be let in.

Citizen assist 7:44 p.m., Thursday, 26300 block of Naccome Drive. The caller received a threatening letter regarding his dogs.

Disturbance 7:19 p.m., Thursday, Los Alisos Boulevard/Muirlands Boulevard. The caller reported people throwing fruit or rocks at passing cars.

Disturbance 6:27 p.m., Thursday, 27100 block of El Retiro. The caller reported a party with a contained fire in the driveway and many people being noisy.
