Blotter: Cupid? Teens Caught Shooting Airsoft Guns on Valentine's Day

Mission Viejo teens not feeling the love from police on Valentine's Day.

At the intersection of Santa Margarita Parkway and Los Alisos Boulevard a concerned caller reported at 11:20 a.m. that six teens, two females and two males, ages 11-13 were walking around with air soft guns and shooting at vehicles that were driving by on Valentine’s Day.

THURSDAY

8:18 a.m. Abandoned Vehicle, Via Falda and Avenida Deseo: A concerned resident reported that a black utility trailer had been parked outside for four days. No contact was made.

8:45 a.m. Temporary Restraining Order, 22100 block of Duende: A temporary restraining order was filed on the morning of Valentine’s Day at the 22100 block of Duende.

10:51 a.m. Assist Outside Agency, Balcon and Contento: Police were called to assist the Orange County Fire Authority with a female with possible emotional issues. She later checked herself into a treatment facility.

1:42 p.m. Suspicious Person/Circumstance, 25700 block of Serenata Drive: Caller reported two solicitors that were going door to door on Serenata Drive. The first subject was reported to be 5’8, 180 pounds and wearing a white and gray striped shirt with white pants. The second solicitor was reported to also being 5’8, 160 pounds and wearing a dark plaid shirt. The two were later reported to be on 26500 block of Veracruz Lane attempting to sell a cleaning product. 

2:39 p.m. Suspicious Person in Vehicle, 26300 block of Via Escolar: Three teens, one male and two females were in a silver Volkswagen and appeared to be drinking beer while parked on Consuelo Place. 

8:58 p.m. Assist Outside Agency, 25800 block of Marguerite Parkway: A male caller told an emergency dispatcher he had just had a minor stroke. The caller would not give his address and instead walked to the nearest fire station. 

9:05 p.m. Unknown Trouble, 28100 block of Manchuca: A caller reported that they heard a male voice screaming “Help me…help me…” for a few minutes. 

11:15 p.m. Drunk Driving, Alicia Parkway and Olympiad Road: A grey Mercedes Benz was driving southbound on Olympiad Boulevard. The Benz was swerving and couldn’t remain within the lane. At one point the vehicle was driving in the bike lane.

FRIDAY 

2:03 a.m. Disturbance, 2600 block of La Paz Road: Two females and two males were inside the Arco gas station and using bad language.

3:06 a.m. Suspicious Person in Vehicle, 28700 block of Los Alisos Boulevard: Someone was asleep or passed out in their new burgundy Lexus in the middle of a parking lot at the cross streets of Mission Foothill and Los Alisos Boulevard.

12:15 p.m. Identity Theft, 200 block of Civic Center: An identity theft was reported at the Civic Center.

7:02 p.m. Keep the Peach, 21900 block of Salero Lane: Officers were called out to restore the peace at Bacalar.
