Car Burglars Spotted in 2 Mission Viejo Areas

Police responded to at least two calls of vehicle break-ins this week in Mission Viejo.

Police were called at least twice Wednesday and Thursday on suspicion of people breaking into vehicles.

Early Thursday morning around 12:30, someone saw two young men checking car door handles near an apartment complex pool on the 27700 block of Emerald.

Around the same time early Wednesday morning, two men were seen looking into vehicles on the 28000 block of Marguerite Parkway. This time two women were seen acting as lookouts.

8:42 p.m. Stolen vehicle, 27100 block Monforte: A blue Chevy Silverado pickup was reported stolen from a driveway.

7:52 p.m. Follow up report, Mission Hospital: Someone being treated at the hospital had marijuana in his possession. Someone from the hospital called police.

5:19 p.m. Robbery in progress, 24400 block Alicia Parkway: Someone was seen wearing sunglasses and a ski mask.

3:29 p.m. Citizen assist, 21200 block Cancun: An elderly man said he was scammed out of $50.

12:54 p.m. Disturbance, 23100 block Los Alisos Boulevard: A woman who believed a worker cracked her windshield became argumentative and threw a credit card machine on the floor.

9:44 a.m. Burglary, 22900 block Via Cereza: A man suspected his female roommate of burglary.

3:20 a.m. Citizen assist, Mission Hospital: A man refused to stay in his hospital bed and wouldn't listen to security.

TUESDAY

11:31 p.m. Vandalism in progress, 24100 block Lindley Street: Someone heard "things being smashed" at La Tierra Elementary. The school's sensor lights went on.

3:51 p.m. Assault with a deadly weapon, 21700 block Salado: Someone said his mother was trying to hit him with a lead pipe.

12:50 p.m. Suspicious person/circumstances, City Hall: Someone wanted to turn in a neighbor for growing and selling marijuana in Mission Viejo.
