Car Crash: Family of 5 Rushed to Hospital

An Oso/Marguerite four-car crash sent five to the hospital Tuesday afternoon.

Two silver minivans collided at Oso and Marguerite in a four-car crash that sent six to the hospital Tuesday evening at rush hour.

A mother driving four children was sent to Mission Hospital for evaluation by a trauma doctor, said Orange County Fire Authority Captain Pablo Barriga. Two children riding with her were also sent by ambulance for a trauma evaluation at Western Medical Center in Santa Ana. A fourth child had minor injuries and was sent to Mission Hospital, Barriga said.

The male driver of the second minivan was also taken to Mission Hospital for a trauma evaluation, Barriga said.

Two other unknown vehicles were involved in the accident, which was caused by one vehicle running a red light, said Orange County Sheriff's Deputy G. Eggert.

I live close by. Spoke to one of the traffic officers. He thinks the airbags did their job. I hope he is right. Prayers to all involved. Traffic northbound Marguerite is out of hand.

There was just another nasty crash near me here at Oso and Meandering Trail. Crash was at about 6:45 PM. Traffic is backed up east bound on Oso away from Antonio.

Thanks Charles. Know if traffic is blocked?

Folks, I just heard from OC Sheriff's Department Lt. Dan Dwyer. He said those injured are *not* facing life-threatening injuries, fortunately. He did not know the extent of their injuries beyond that. I've placed calls with other emergency officials to try to find out more.

The traffic lights are not bright enough into setting or rising sun. I've seen many red lights run - hope it isn't rude and impatient drivers. Too many kids around for recklessness.

My daughter was driving that car. She and her children will be well. (13 year old was boy was sitting up up front & stitches on his face; 10 year old son sustained no injuries. He was in the back of the the van. Daughter has one broken rib. All 3 taken to Mission Hospital.
Girls were taken to trauma center at Western Medicsl/Tustin. 13 year old sustained bruises. 10 year old has a broken arm. Both girls released today, Thursday. Gods grace was in this family. We are grateful for this and your concern.

Tom Thumb you didn't read section 1021(b)(2) closely enough. It wouldn't apply to those arming theRead More rebels because of the word "suspicion." We know they are arming the rebels. See the difference. 1021(b)(2) only applies to those we "suspect" like you. Notice how the word "reasonable" doesn't appear anywhere near "suspicion"? Hmmmm wonder why that would be. Section 1021(b)(2) seems to be the modern day "suspicion of lurking with intent."

Shoot, I don't know about that. What we are hearing now is Obama/McCain are pushing to arm theRead More rebels who are supporting and are part of Al Qaeda: www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-22095099
