Two silver minivans collided at Oso and Marguerite in a four-car crash that sent six to the hospital Tuesday evening at rush hour.
A mother driving four children was sent to Mission Hospital for evaluation by a trauma doctor, said Orange County Fire Authority Captain Pablo Barriga. Two children riding with her were also sent by ambulance for a trauma evaluation at Western Medical Center in Santa Ana. A fourth child had minor injuries and was sent to Mission Hospital, Barriga said.
The male driver of the second minivan was also taken to Mission Hospital for a trauma evaluation, Barriga said.
Two other unknown vehicles were involved in the accident, which was caused by one vehicle running a red light, said Orange County Sheriff's Deputy G. Eggert.
Girls were taken to trauma center at Western Medicsl/Tustin. 13 year old sustained bruises. 10 year old has a broken arm. Both girls released today, Thursday. Gods grace was in this family. We are grateful for this and your concern.
