A 22-year-old man was killed tonight when the car he was driving struck a curb, became airborne and crashed into a house before coming to rest atop a masonry wall in the unincorporated Coto de Caza area.

The crash happened around 7:40 p.m. near the intersection of Cherry Hill Drive and Vista Del Verde, said Capt. Steve Concialdi of the Orange County Fire Authority.

The victim, who was trapped, died inside the vehicle, where he remained two hours after the crash, Concialdi said.

A woman and her two young children were inside the house but were not injured, according to ABC7.

Amazing how many ways they can screw up the name of the community Coto de Caza on TV. Corto de Caza, Costa de Caza. And all of this happened in "The Orange County."
