Cop Calls: 16-Year-Old Refuses to Ditch Marijuana Stash

Here's a rundown of the calls from Mission Viejo made to the Orange County Sheriff's Department Jan. 23-24.

Friday

  • A man living on the 27900 block of Chapulin discovered his 75-lb. dumbbell was missing from his back yard around 10:30 a.m.
  • A resident found their tires slashed on the 27100 block of Ayamonte around 7:45 a.m.
  • Around 4 a.m., a man knocked on a woman's door stating that his car was on fire. The call came from the 22600 block of Via Tercero.
  • A woman was locked inside the bathroom on the 26300 block of Alhondra Place, according to a phone call from around 1:15 a.m.
Thursday
  • A 48-year-old man was arrested following reports of a suspicious person inside a vehicle around 11:30 p.m. on the corner of Marguerite and Santa Margarita.
  • A resident told police her roommate's 16-year-old had marijuana and refused to get rid of it. The call came around 7:30 p.m. from the 23300 block of Via Ronda.
  • Police arrested a 23-year-old woman following a traffic stop at the corner of Vallejo and Los Alisos around 7:30 p.m.
  • A mother called police around 3:30 p.m. to say her son and his friend were stopped at McDonald's when a drunk man tried to keep them from leaving. A 31-year-old man was arrested.
  • A man in front of a school on the 24100 block of Pavion was refusing to remove his pitbull from the property around 12:30 p.m.
  • A 39-year-old gardener was arrested following a reported disturbance around 12:30 p.m.
