Cop Calls: 6 Arrested Over MLK, Jr. Weekend

A rundown of calls that came into the O.C. Sheriff’s Department Jan. 16-20.

Monday

  • A 47-year-old man was arrested around noon following a routine traffic stop at Muirlands and Alicia.

Sunday

  • A 50-year-old nurse was cited and released following a reported disturbance on the 26600 block of Alicante Drive around 7:30 p.m.
  • A 41-year-old man was arrested from the 23300 block of La Mar around 6:30 p.m.
  • Police arrested a 20-year-old waitress on the 26200 block of Via Logrono around 2:30 p.m.
  • A 24-year-old man was arrested and remains in custody on $20,000 bail following reports of a suspicious person on the 21600 block of Marguerite around 4 a.m.

Saturday

  • Police arrested a 51-year-old mechanic following a routine traffic  stop at Marguerite and Avery parkways around 2 a.m.

Friday

  • Police cited and released a 50-year-old man following a drunk driving report called in at 10:15 p.m. at Alicia and the 5 freeway.
  • Two dogs left inside a red Toyota were spotted around 12:40 p.m. on the 25400 block of Marguerite.
  • Power cables were reported missing from a construction site around 7:15 a.m. on the 26600 block of Oso Parkway.
  • Several men were seen fighting at the Kaleidoscope Center around 1 a.m.

Thursday

  • A grand theft (usually a theft of something worth more than $400) was reported from the Shops at Mission Viejo at 9:40 p.m.
  • Around 10-20 kids were seen lighting firecrackers around 4:20 p.m. behind a residence on the 26400 block of Mirar Vista Drive.
  • Someone shot out a window the night before on the 22000 block of Hidalgo, according to a 1:40 p.m. call.
