Police Seek Crown Valley Bank Robber

Police want your help finding the man who robbed a Mission Viejo bank.

A man robbed Bank of the West on Crown Valley Parkway Tuesday just before 4 p.m.

An Asian man in his 40s threatened that he had a gun, produced a note and demanded cash from a bank teller, said Orange County Sheriff's Department spokesman Jim Amormino.

The robber was last seen running toward a parking lot. No vehicle was spotted.

Helicoptors assisted deputies in searching for the man, but did not find him, Amormino said.
