Man Found Dead in Costa Mesa Parking Lot Was from Mission Viejo

Justin Wilson died just three hours into his 25th birthday. Police found him in a Costa Mesa parking lot.

Police have released the identity of a Mission Viejo man found dead last weekend in Costa Mesa.

Police found the body of Justin Wilson in the Estancia High School parking lot early Saturday morning, just 3½ hours into his 25th birthday.

The county coroner is waiting to say how Wilson died until the results are completed from a toxicology report.

The incident was originally reported to police as a drug overdose, Sgt. Ed Everett of the Costa Mesa Police Department said.

Wilson was found wearing only underwear and a T-shirt, he said.
